Amalia is the dress for the invitations that say outdoors. A guipure lace bodice, scalloped at the hem the way old tablecloths are, over a pleated chiffon skirt that moves when you do. The sage is soft enough to stand near the bride without competing, and deep enough to photograph as a colour rather than as beige.

The fit — True to size, fitted through the bust and waist, loose from the hip down. Between two sizes? Take the smaller one, the bodice has no stretch. Measurements for every size are in the size guide above.

Lining: 95% polyester, 5% elastane.

The knife pleats are set with heat: a wash destroys them and an iron flattens them for good. Hang the dress from the loops inside the bodice so the pleats fall vertically, and steam only from the inside if it needs it.
